An Introduction to Wine Appreciation by Bill Holland

An introductory short course in the basics of wine appreciation and just how to start understanding wine and it’s so called protocols. This will be the “jumping off” point from which we will offer a series of various wine courses in the future. This short course will use tasting of several different wines to begin the process of “debunking” some of the myths and providing you will the tools to help insure the improvement of your future enjoyment of wines.

  • Watch your e-mail for notices regarding the varietals and vineyards that we will be tasting as we have several really outstanding shipments programmed but we have not been advised of actual delivery.

  • German wines not before available in the our area, exclusively from the Pflaz region of Germany. This is the area Hannelore is from and some of the wines are from vineyards from which her family purchased for their hotel and restaurant. A very special evening. Scheduled for Friday April 23.

  •  Recently we had an opportunity to have a private tasting with the owners and vintners of Hendry Vineyards. Their wines were so crisp and fruitfull we purchased on the spot and will feature an exclusive Tasting of their wines soon. As soon as the wines arrive we will notify you by e-mail of the tasting date.

Each month we schedule wine tasting events to introduce new wines which you may not have had an opportunity to try. These events are presented together with one of our distributors or on some occasions, representatives from the Vineyard. In addition, we feature wine tasting every Friday afternoon from 4PM until 6 PM, so you can drop by to sample approximately 10 to 15 selections which we have been offering. A great time to try some of the wines you may have overlooked before. AND as always, our kitchen will offer some mouth watering horsd’oevres.

Now Open Till 6 PM Monday - Friday.

Stop by for a glass of wine on the way home & pick up your “Gourmet To Go” dinner too!
